Audio Book Help
Are you having trouble with using the NH Downloadable Audio Book Consortium page? You may want to check that you have done the following:
Have you downloaded the OverDrive Media Console? This free software is how you access your downloaded files, burn them to a cd (if possible), and transfer them to a portable device. You can download the Console here:
http://nh.lib.overdrive.com/5297D4E2-AD51-407A-BB89-FC410D92CF4E/10/244/en/Help-Reader-Format25.htm
Do you have Windows Media Player installed on your computer? The OverDrive Media Console uses this program to manage the DRM (Digital Rights Management) portion of the audio files.
Have you registered and activated your Media Console? This should happen automatically the first time you attempt to check out a title on your computer.
Do you have your Library card number and an Internet connection? Be sure to contact the Library at 876.4479 if you need your Library card number.
Is your portable device supported by the OverDrive Media Console? You can see a list of supported devices here:
http://www.overdrive.com/deviceresourcecenter/compatible.asp
and a list of known incompatible devices here:
http://www.overdrive.com/deviceresourcecenter/Incompatible.asp
Please note that the most popular portable media device, the iPod, is not supported by the OverDrive Media Console. Please contact the Library at 876.4479 or at library@frostfree.org for more information.
Now you should be ready to check out and download! Titles will automatically expire from your device or computer in 7 days.
